Molly A. Seltzer

I am a photographer based in the greater NYC area.  My photography has appeared in Smithsonian Magazine, the American Wind Energy Association, and Princeton University.

My passion for photography began in my teens and I then explored the medium in the dark room of my high school and photographing for the school newspaper.

As an college undergraduate, I did a student campaign for Ann Taylor and then began what would become my journalistic and photojournalistic series, "Electric America.” From 2017-2018 I traveled the USA to document the American power sector and discuss issues related to climate change and the national energy grid. You can see that work and writing on the project’s website, www.electricamerica.org.

I have done portrait sessions of over 250 babies (though all HIPPA-restricted so you won’t see them here) as a newborn photographer for Mom365.

For me, photography is meditative. It grounds me, and reminds me with each and every shot that I am exactly where I need to be.  I enjoy photographing people, fashion, architecture, and infrastcuture. I hope you are as inspired and excited to work with me and by my work as I am when I make the images and get to meet you!

I love meeting people in my photojournalistic adventures, hearing their stories and valuing their perspective - i love making them feel special and I know you’ll love a session with me. In my free time, I do yoga, play basketball, write, and do krav maga. You can find me at a local farmers markets when the weather is right. I am an expert sale and thrift shopper. I am bilingual and always up for speaking Spanish.  Mandame un mensaje si quieres charlar- send me a message if you want to chat! Hope to meet you soon.
